Praying the Scriptures
Wednesday Morning Prayer
March 5, 2025
Do not be afraid, little flock, for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom. (Luke 12:32)
Gracious and loving Father,
As the first light of morning spreads across the desert, painting the sky in hues of rose and gold, I come before You with a heart full of gratitude. The cool air carries whispers of Your presence, and the distant mountains stand as steadfast reminders of Your faithfulness. The hush of the early dawn, broken only by the cry of a hawk or the rustling of wind through the mesquite, stirs my soul to worship.
Lord, in this vast and rugged land, where life clings to rocky soil and water is precious, I find comfort in Your words. You are my shepherd, and I am Your beloved. In a world of uncertainties, You call me to trust, not in my own strength, but in Your abundant grace. Though storms may come, though the journey may be long, I need not fear, for You have already prepared a place for me in Your kingdom.
Let my heart this day rest in that promise. Let my steps be sure and steady, not hurried by worry or weighed down by doubt. Instead, may I move with the confidence of one who knows they are held securely in the arms of the Almighty.
Bless those who wake this morning weary, those who labor under burdens unseen, and those who long for the assurance of Your love. May I, in word and deed, be a reflection of Your kindness to them. As the sun rises higher in the sky, warming the desert floor, may my soul be warmed by the light of Your presence, shining through all I do today.
I place this day in Your hands, Lord. Lead me, guide me, and let my life be a testimony to the peace that comes from trusting in You.
In the name of Jesus Christ, my Savior, I pray.
Amen.
May this prayer bring you strength and encouragement as you go about your day!
