December 10, 2024
But for you who revere my name the sun of righteousness shall rise, with healing in its wings. You shall go out leaping like calves from the stall. (Malachi 4:2)
Gracious and Everlasting God,
As the dawn breaks over this New Mexican desert, I feel the warmth of Your presence rising like the sun of righteousness. The crisp morning air reminds me of the season of waiting, of Advent hope, and of Your promise to come anew into my life.
This day, Lord, I come before You with a heart open to Your healing. Just as the sun spreads its rays across the wide horizons of this desert, it brings light to the shadowed places within me. Let Your righteousness shine upon my path, and Your healing radiate into every corner of my soul.
I see Your hand in the beauty of this land—in the golden sands, the distant mountains, and the endless skies. They speak of Your faithfulness and Your power to renew all things. May my heart echo the beauty of this creation as I prepare to welcome You more fully this Advent season.
Today, Lord, help me to walk in Your light. Guide my steps so that I may bring healing and peace to others, as You have promised to bring it to me. Let my words be gentle and my actions just, reflecting the brightness of Your love.
Thank You, Lord, for this morning, for the chance to rise under Your sun of righteousness. Fill me with joy and strength as I set out into this day, knowing that Your healing and hope are with me always.
In Jesus' holy name, I pray.
