Praying the Scriptures

Sunday Morning Prayer

January 26, 2025

The LORD is near to all who call on him, to all who call on him in truth. He fulfills the desire of all who fear him; he also hears their cry, and saves them. (Psalm 145:18-19)

Lord,

As the first light stretches across the desert, I feel Your nearness. You are here, as You have promised, with all who call on You in truth. The chill of this January morning reminds me of Your steadfast presence, a warmth that fills my heart even when the world feels cold.

I lift my voice to You, O Lord, knowing that You hear me. You satisfy the desires of those who revere You, and I am in awe of Your faithfulness. Just as the mountains stand strong and sure in the distance, so is Your love—unchanging and eternal.

Today, I ask for the courage to walk humbly with You, to carry Your peace into the world around me. Bless my thoughts, my words, and my actions, that they may reflect Your goodness to others. Fill me with gratitude for this land and its beauty—the golden rays of the sun, the stillness of the desert, and the life it sustains.

You are my refuge and my strength, Lord. I trust in Your promises and rejoice in the assurance that You are near to all who call upon You. As the day unfolds, let my soul sing of Your greatness and my heart rest in Your peace.

Amen.

I hope this prayer brings you peace and inspiration for your day.
