Praying the Scriptures

Friday Morning Prayer

March 7, 2025

The LORD is my strength and my might; he has become my salvation. There are glad songs of victory in the tents of the righteous: “The right hand of the LORD does valiantly; the right hand of the LORD is exalted; the right hand of the LORD does valiantly.” (Psalm 118:14-16)

Gracious and mighty God,

As the golden sun rises over the desert, painting the sky in hues of amber and rose, I lift my voice in praise. The crisp morning air carries the scent of sage and mesquite, a reminder of Your presence in this land of wide horizons and rugged beauty.

You are my strength and my song, O Lord! In the stillness of dawn, I hear the whisper of Your Spirit moving through the canyons and over the hills. The wind, like a gentle hymn, declares Your steadfast love. You have become my salvation, the rock on which I stand, the refuge that shelters me from every storm.

Your mighty hand upholds me, guiding my steps on this journey of faith. Though the road is long and the days uncertain, I will not be shaken, for You are with me. The morning light is a promise of new mercies, a reminder that Your faithfulness endures beyond the night.

Let my heart rejoice, and my lips proclaim Your goodness! May this day be filled with gratitude, my actions reflecting the love You have poured into my life. Strengthen my hands to do Your work, my feet to walk in Your ways, and my voice to declare, “The Lord has done valiantly!”

In the name of Jesus, my Savior, and my song, I pray.

Amen.

May this prayer bring you peace and inspiration for the day ahead.
