Tuesday Evening Prayer
January 28, 2025
I will instruct you and teach you the way you should go; I will counsel you with my eye upon you. (Psalm_32:8)
O Lord, my faithful Guide,
As the sun dips behind the rugged peaks of the Florida Mountains, I rest in the assurance of Your promise: "I will instruct you and teach you the way you should go; I will counsel you with my eye upon you."
The cool desert air brushes against me, a gentle reminder of Your ever-watchful presence. The vast, starlit sky stretches endlessly above, a testament to Your infinite wisdom and care. As I reflect on the day, I see how Your hand has led me through moments of both clarity and uncertainty.
Forgive me, Lord, for the times I strayed from Your guidance or failed to listen to Your counsel. Tonight, I lay my burdens and missteps before You, trusting in Your grace to restore and renew me.
Teach me, O God, to walk humbly and attentively in the way You have prepared. Open my heart to hear Your voice amidst the stillness of the desert and the rustling of the wind. May Your Word illuminate my path like the soft glow of moonlight on the sand.
As the chill of January deepens, may the warmth of Your love enfold me, giving peace to my spirit and strength to my soul. Help me to trust in Your divine wisdom and to follow Your lead with confidence and faith.
Guide me as I rest tonight, Lord, and awaken me with the promise of another day under Your watchful eye. For all that You are and all that You do, I give You thanks and praise.
Amen.
