Praying the Scriptures
Tuesday Evening Prayer
August 20, 2024
There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. (Romans 8:1)
Gracious and Merciful God,
As the day draws to a close, we come before You with hearts full of gratitude for the gift of another day. We thank You for Your presence, which has guided us through every moment, and for the assurance of Your love, which surrounds us always.
Lord, as we reflect on Romans 8:1, we rejoice in the profound truth that "There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus." We praise You for the freedom we have in Christ, knowing that through His sacrifice, we are no longer bound by guilt or shame. Your grace has set us free, and in Your mercy, we find rest for our souls.
Tonight, we surrender all our worries, fears, and burdens to You. May the peace that comes from knowing we are forgiven and loved fill our hearts as we prepare to rest. Help us to release anything that weighs us down, trusting fully in Your promises and in the power of Your Spirit to renew and restore us.
As we lay down to sleep, surround us with Your protection and grant us peaceful rest. May our dreams be filled with Your light, and may we wake refreshed, ready to live another day in the freedom of Your grace.
In the name of Jesus, who has set us free, we pray.
Amen.
May this prayer bring you peace and comfort this evening.
