Praying the Scriptures

Thursday Morning Prayer

January 30, 2025

Turn to me and be saved, all the ends of the earth! For I am God, and there is no other. By myself I have sworn, from my mouth has gone forth in righteousness a word that shall not return: “To me every knee shall bow, every tongue shall swear.” (Isaiah 45:22-23)

Lord of all creation,

As the sun rises over the desert, painting the Florida Mountains in hues of gold and pink, I lift my eyes to You, the source of all hope and life. You have said, "Turn to me and be saved, all the ends of the earth! For I am God, and there is no other." Here, in the quiet beauty of this January morning, I turn my heart to You, seeking Your grace anew.

In the stillness of this moment, surrounded by Your handiwork, I confess that You alone are worthy of my trust and my worship. Your word is steadfast, and Your promises are unshakable. You have sworn, and it cannot be revoked, that every knee shall bow and every tongue confess allegiance to You. Today, I bow my heart before You in reverence and awe.

Guide my steps, Lord, as I walk this day on the dusty paths of this sacred land. May I reflect Your light to those I meet, offering kindness, encouragement, and love. Let the still, crisp air remind me of Your peace, and let the warmth of the rising sun remind me of Your unfailing presence.

You are my God, and there is no other. In this place of open skies and rugged beauty, I stand in awe of Your glory and give You all praise. Strengthen me to be a faithful witness to Your truth, now and always.

In Jesus’ holy name, I pray.

Amen.

May this prayer bring you peace and inspiration for your day.
