Praying the Scriptures

Monday Morning Prayer

August 19, 2024

Whom have I in heaven but you? And there is nothing on earth that I desire other than you. My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever. (Psalm 73:25–26)

Heavenly Father,

As the dawn breaks and a new day begins, I lift my eyes to You, for there is none in heaven or on earth that I desire but You. In the stillness of this morning, I am reminded that though my flesh and my heart may fail, You, O Lord, are the strength of my heart and my portion forever.

When the world around me shifts and the weight of life becomes heavy, help me to remember that You are my steadfast rock. In moments of weakness, be my refuge and my strength. When my heart feels weary, renew me with Your unfailing love.

Guide my steps today, Lord, and let my thoughts, words, and actions reflect Your goodness and grace. May I find peace in Your presence, knowing that You are with me always, upholding me with Your righteous right hand.

Thank You, Father, for being my strength and my ever-present help. I surrender this day to You, trusting that You will lead me on the path of righteousness for Your name’s sake.

In Jesus' name, I pray,

Amen.

May this prayer bring you peace and strength as you start your day.
