Praying the Scriptures

Thursday Morning Prayer

October 10, 2024

Since all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God; they are now justified by his grace as a gift, through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus, whom God put forward as a sacrifice of atonement by his blood, effective through faith. (Romans 3:23–25a)

Heavenly Father,

As I awaken to this cool October morning, with the gentle hues of dawn painting the sky, I come before You in humble adoration and confession. Your Word reminds us, "since all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God; they are now justified by his grace as a gift, through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus, whom God put forward as a sacrifice of atonement by his blood, effective through faith."

Lord, I acknowledge my failings and the times I have fallen short of Your glory. In the quiet of this morning, I am reminded of Your boundless grace, a gift so profound that it redeems and restores. Thank You for the sacrifice of Your Son, Jesus Christ, who has cleansed us from all unrighteousness and reconciled us to You. It is through faith in Him that we find our true redemption.

As the leaves turn and the season changes, let this season of my life be one of spiritual renewal and deeper faith. Strengthen me, Father, to walk in the light of Your grace, to embrace the gift of justification You have freely given, and to reflect Your love and mercy in all that I do.

May this day be filled with acts of kindness and moments of reflection on the profound mystery of Your atonement. Help me to extend grace to others as generously as You have given it to me, and to love as You love.

In Jesus' name, I pray,

Amen.

May this prayer bring you peace and inspiration for your day.
